Lusheeta Toel Ul Laputa || Seventeen Years Old || Drifters || Second Year
“No matter how many weapons you have, no matter how great your technology might be, the world cannot live without love.” -Sheeta
↳ Biography:
A young orphan girl from the mountains of Northern Japan, Sheeta grew up with her parents and grandmother on a small, out of the way farm living quite cut off from most of civilization. As such, she grew up being very close to her family, especially to her grandmother who, though too old to do much of the farm work, spent much time teaching Sheeta many other skills that anyone else may not have ever deemed possible. As a child, Sheeta was given a necklace with a pendant made from a rare crystal known as aetherium that she was told had been in her family for generations. She was also told that she must never show the necklace to anyone or tell anyone of it and also must keep it on her person at all times. With it, Sheeta’s grandmother taught her many spells, some good and some evil including a spell of destruction that she was told she was never to actually use. The reason Sheeta was able to do all this? Well, that can explained simply by looking at her name. Laputa is an ancient and often believed mythical city that existed high above the clouds, Toel-Ul, in the ancient Laputian language meant ‘True Ruler’. Lusheeta: True Ruler of Laputa. Young Sheeta was the descendent of the Royal family of this ancient city that, as it turned out, wasn’t as mythical as she had believed. However, most of this information would not be given to her until many years later. As a child, she only knew that her crystal was magic. Before she could ever learn more, Sheeta would tragically lose first her grandmother to old age and then both of her parents to an accident ( which was never truly explained to her ), leaving her an orphan.
Following the loss of her family, Sheeta – despite being only a young child – continued to try to run the farm and tended to her beloved animals. Though terribly upset over the loss of her parents, she never really questioned how she was going to get by on her own, she just believed that she could and she seemed to manage okay, tending the farm and receiving help from the people of a nearby village whenever she needed it. Then things changed one day when a group of soldiers led by a man named Muska came to the farm and took Sheeta away with no explanation as to why. Though she had no real reason to, she knew from the instant she laid eyes on Muska that she did not trust him. Still, only a young teenager, she had no easy way of escaping from him. She was boarded onto a plane whose destination she was also not told, with no idea of how to get away. En route, the plane was hijacked by a group of thieves known as ‘The Dola Gang’, which proved to be just the opportunity that Sheeta needed, albeit, in a very strange way. During the chaos, Sheeta fell from the planes escape hatch. Sure that she was doomed, no one tried to save her. She soon fell unconscious as she fell, sure herself that she was about to die. However, a miracle then seemed to happen. Her necklace began to glow and slowed her fall, causing the girl to magically float safely to the ground where she was discovered the person who would become the most important in her life.
Like Sheeta, Pazu was an orphan who was cared for by the miners he worked with. When Sheeta quite literally fell into his home, Pazu took her in, completely fascinated by the girl who had fallen from the sky. The two became extremely fast friends and Pazu became very protective of Sheeta. When the people who’d been after her crystal came hunting for her, he was determined to help her get away and protect her, no matter what. The two became the only thing close to a family that each other had and grew increasingly fond of each other. They ran into Dola and her family again while running, becoming close friends of the gang and ultimately being sort of adopted into the group. It was ultimately Dola who suggested that the kids should maybe try going back to school, having secured a job at Wishing Well herself and figuring it was as safe a place as any for the two orphans. She was able to get them both enrolled and so Pazu and Sheeta left their own insane lives for the even more insane world with in Wishing Well.
The clique structure of Wishing Well never really felt right to Sheeta. She didn’t like being defined as any one thing and so has remained a Drifter ever since she arrived. She’s often very quiet and soft spoken, making her come across as being very shy, but really once you get her talking, she’s a very open and friendly girl. However, she still remains closest to Dola and her family and to Pazu, who she has begun to see as a bit more than just her friend since they’ve been at the school. Though they aren’t officially together, they and pretty well every one around them can tell how they feel about each other. The two of them have also become close friends with Kida and Milo, two students who share their fascination with supposedly mythical cities. At Wishing Well, Sheeta has proven herself to be a very good student, making high marks in all of her classes. However, her favorite course by far is Environmental Science. She loves learning about the natural world and can be very protective over animals and the environment in general.
Though things have been better since she arrived at Wishing Well, Sheeta hasn’t been able to escape her past problems completely. Recently, Muska has turned up as well, enrolling himself as a college student at Wishing Well. With him, he’ brought some information for Sheeta that she’s not sure she’s better off knowing. The reason Muska has spent so much time chasing after Sheeta and her crystal is because he also share a connection to it. The two are actually cousins and currently the last descendants of the royal family of the floating city of Laputa. Though Muska continues to try and gain Sheeta’s cooperation in his endeavors by any means, Sheeta tries to avoid him as much as possible. The knowledge of her heritage and birthright is a lot to handle at times, but it’s also pushed her and Pazu into trying to learn all they can about the lost city as they can even more. They are determined that they have to find what they are looking for before Muska does as well as protect Sheeta’s crystal. What he would do with that sort of power is not something either of them want to find out. Besides that, the city and the power of the crystal are Sheeta’s by her birth right and she is determined to protect that, even if she doesn’t fully understand it.
